―Chugoku Sake Awards―
The Chugoku Sake Awards are held annually during the autumn under the auspices of the Hiroshima Regional Taxation Bureau. 
This competition is held to aim for the improvement of the technical ability of sake brewing in the Chugoku region (Shimane, Tottori, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, Okayama Prefecture).
In 2014, 76 breweries submitted a total of 203 sake to 3 categories; Kaori (Flavor), Aji (Taste), Kan (Warm).

The Joy of Sake New York will be held on September 18, 2014 at the Altman Building, and the Joy of Sake Tokyo will be held on November 6, 2014 at the TOC Building in Gotanda.
The event will showcase 370 sake and feature great appetizers from local restaurants.

We are pleased to announce that TOYONOAKI "Classic" was awarded with silver medal, in the Ordinary sake section of the  International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2014 held in April in London.

TOYONOAKI "Classic" 
Rice: Gohyakumangoku, Kan no mai
Alcohol level: 15-16%
Sake Meter Value: +2.5
Rice polishing rate: 70%

Tasting notes: Nice Koji Character and complexity. Maybe too dry. Mature in character and with good balance and structure.
