―Chugoku Sake Awards―
The Chugoku Sake Awards are held annually during the autumn under the auspices of the Hiroshima Regional Taxation Bureau.
This competition is held to aim for the improvement of the technical ability of sake brewing in the Chugoku region (Shimane, Tottori, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, Okayama Prefecture).
In 2014, 76 breweries submitted a total of 203 sake to 3 categories; Kaori (Flavor), Aji (Taste), Kan (Warm).

Following the U.S. National Sake Appraisal, the world's biggest sake-tasting celebration, the Joy of Sake took place in Honolulu on July 18.

The Joy of Sake New York will be held on September 18, 2014 at the Altman Building, and the Joy of Sake Tokyo will be held on November 6, 2014 at the TOC Building in Gotanda.
The event will showcase 370 sake and feature great appetizers from local restaurants.
